Mid Coast Youth Career Services (MCYCS) is a Local Community Partnership (LCP) funded by the Australian Government’s Career Advice Australia initiative.
We are a not-for-profit, incorporated organisation governed by board members representing industry and education. Our aim is to strengthen the partnership between industry and education, so that we increase knowledge and opportunities for careers and further education.
We have three programs to assist young people in making a successful transition through school and into further education, training and employment.

We have Coordinators in Kempsey, Hastings and the Manning, covering the Mid North Coast region of NSW. We are not Careers Advisers, nor are we affiliated with any one school. Mid Coast Youth Career Services works with all school sectors (Government, Catholic and Independent). Mid Coast Youth Career Services is funded to work with all 13-19 year olds and therefore also works with community organisations and produces projects outside of the school environment.
Information about Mid Coast Youth Career Services activities is circulated through the network of Careers Advisers in all secondary schools within the Mid North Coast. Most activities facilitated by Mid Coast Youth Career Services do not incur a direct cost to the student however; the school would be required to provide adequate supervision and transport during the activities. Responsibilities are outlined by the Coordinator of the commencement of the activity.
